About

This blog is mostly about sabermetrics, baseball analytics, analysis, whatever you want to call it. Unlike some imposter who shall go unnamed, but considers himself to be the purveyor of the no-spin zone, I am the true keeper of the no-spin zone, herein.

As the sole author of this site, I take full responsibility for everything in it . Feel free to comment, if comments are allowed. Please keep them civil. I am at times quite grumpy, so if you don’t like surly, pettish, fractious, and sometimes downright churlish commentary, this may not be the blog for you. However, if you like to read about occasionally interesting, but more importantly, not disingenuous baseball analysis, this is definitely the site for you.

If you go for the appeal to authority fallacy, then you really might like this blog: I have been sabering for over 20 years, I am co-author of The Book: Playing the Percentages in Baseball, I have authored around 20 articles about baseball on various web sites, in a few anthologies, and in my own “cave.” I worked for an MLB team for 2 years and consulted for a few others over the years. I don’t think they ever followed up on any of my advice or suggestions. And I once played a vampire killer in our high school production of Dracula. But enough about me. Let’s talk about you. What do you think of me?
